About Abby Ray

Born in Louisiana, Abby Ray grew up in a military family, where she moved frequently. After graduating high school in 2021, she enrolled at Belmont University, completing her undergraduate degree in three years through the Legal Studies 3+3 program. She graduated through the Honors College, where she published research focused on providing resources to support local nonprofits and contributed background research for a short film highlighting the stories of refugees—including a Haitian couple who resettled in Nashville. During her time at Belmont, she studied abroad in Japan, and ultimately earned her Bachelor of Arts cum laude and recognition as a Belmont Scholar.

Abby is now continuing her legal education and is expected to graduate from law school in May 2027, with plans to sit for the bar exam in July of the same year. Outside of academics and professional commitments, she enjoys reading, hiking, cooking, crocheting, watching K-dramas, and spending time with friends.
