Adam Barber

Adam Barber was born and raised in the suburbs of Detroit, MI. Adam received his undergraduate degrees from Grand Valley State University and his Juris Doctorate and his Master’s Vermont Law School.
In 2012, Adam began his legal career with Clark and Washington LLC, where he consistently led the firm in bankruptcy filings and litigation. In 2014, Adam joined the public sector and served as the auditor for the Office of Conservatorship Management (OCM) for Nashville and Davidson County. As a flagship employee of the OCM, Adam helped develop the policies and procedures regarding the financial aspects of conservatorship matters for Nashville and Davidson County.
In 2015, Adam was appointed as the Probate Master for Nashville and Davidson County, Tennessee under Judge Randy Kennedy. During his tenure as the Probate Master, Adam presided over the financial aspects of conservatorships, estates, trusts, and other matters in the Seventh Circuit Court for Nashville and Davidson County. During his tenure as probate master, Adam helped recover hundred of thousands of misappropriated funds in estates, conservatorships, guardianships, and trusts.
In 2019, Adam joined the team at MHPS Law with a primary focus on probate administration and litigation. Adam’s path as the probate master has provided him with unique knowledge for his clients as he monitored the thousands of cases filed each year in the Seventh Circuit Court of Nashville and Davidson County. Adam has had the privilege to speak at several Continued Learning Education programs as a member of the judiciary and as a private sector attorney.
Adam and his wife Shannon reside in Sylvan Park with their daughter Laina, and their dog, Lewie. Adam is an avid sports enthusiasts and outdoorsman.
