Ever since Garth began practicing law in 2007, he has been focused on one thing – helping people navigate the complex legal system during some of life’s most difficult situations. Currently, Garth’s law practice is focused in the areas of probate administration and litigation, family law and personal injury.
Prior to joining MHPS, Garth ran a solo practice in Springfield, Tenn. for more than seven years where his experience included criminal defense, family law, probate and estate law and other civil litigation. Garth began his law career working in the Law Office of Larry Wilks.
Garth is an active member of the Nashville Bar Association and the Tennessee Bar Association (TBA), where he served as a board member for the Young Lawyers Division for six years. In 2013, Garth was selected as a participant in the TBA’s Leadership Law program. While practicing law in Springfield, he served as president of the Robertson County Bar Association.
Garth earned his J.D. from Valparaiso University School of Law in Valparaiso, Ind. As a law student, Garth worked as a law clerk for the Federal Public Defender in the Northern District of Indiana.
Garth received his undergraduate degree in history from Belmont University. A native of Middle Tennessee, Garth grew up just north of Nashville in White House.
Garth and his wife, Laura, live in Nashville with their son, James, and chocolate lab, Bailey.
